Why Individualized Nutrition Plans are so Vital!

This testimonial from one of our nutrition coaching clients is exactly why we focus on individualized nutrition plans! Macro nutrition is so much more than just following a set formula for everyone. Each client is an individual, with individual training and nutrition needs and different neurotypes to take into consideration when setting up a nutrition plan.

“I’m a 48-year-old mom of three teenagers (13, 16 &19). I am also a personal trainer and I love lifting weights.

I am a neurotype 1B and while the heavy weights are great and powerful, I also love the speed of some of the Olympic lifts, box jumps, and sprints.

In terms of nutrition, I, like many others here, came from another macro nutrition company that liked to keep on pushing limits without listening to their clients.

I’m an OG from the initial lifetime offering and before the system became automated.

Individualized nutrition plansWhile I truly believe age is just a number, I also know that my body won’t respond the same as a 25-year-old male. Yet for some reason, this was how I was treated.

Being told that I don’t workout enough and I am not trying hard enough was both ridiculous and detrimental.

I gained 15+ pounds with that company and while some of the weight was muscle, the majority was fat and I had hit my highest non-pregnancy weight.

When I questioned this, it was apparently my fault why this was happening.

Then all of a sudden one coach left, then Mike followed by April. If 3 of the top coaches were leaving, then I needed to leave too.

I initially started following Mike as I found it informative and very real. When April came on, I decided to sign up for 1:1 nutrition coaching.

April has been amazing! We work as a team. She guides me and along with the daily and weekly feedback I provide her, April has found a program that works for ME… not for the masses, but for me.


Benefits of nutrition coaching

We finished a fat loss phase with me dropping 10 pounds, inches and body fat. We are slowly reversing to take my body composition to the next level.

This is the difference with true one on one nutrition coaching versus automated responses and “bumps”.
