How Do You Reach Those Beach Body Goals?

Ok, now it’s time to get serious.

What’s your summer shaping up to look like?

You’ve got a bikini you wanna rock this summer.

You’ve got pool parties, beach trips, and vacations (hopefully).

You’ve got BBQs, date nights, and day drinking (hopefully).

But, how are you really feeling about your beach body and the “wear less clothes” season?

Confident? Uncomfortable? Uneasy?

Look, it’s no secret that Covid did a number on so many of us from a stress standpoint that your favorite shorts may not be buttoning like you want them to.

Or, maybe you’re not even feeling good enough to wear shorts.

There is no shame or judgement in that. Just reality for a lot of people.

So the question is … what are you gonna do?

Like for real.

What are you gonna do about it?

Because it’s already June.

The savvy move would have been to reach out to me 6 months ago.

But, maybe you didn’t even know who I was 6 months ago. Or, maybe you just convinced yourself it wasn’t the right time. Or you couldn’t afford it.

Regardless, we’re here now.

No need to dwell on the past.

Let’s figure out the present.

What’s your plan?

Are you going to slash calories and add a bunch of cardio to your life?

Are you going to try that program that your neighbor is doing where you only eat for 2 hours per day with your off-hand on small plates because it tricks your body into thinking it’s full?

What about when you do have some social events, BBQs, or vacations?

Then what?

Are you going to enjoy them or will they be riddled with stress and followed up with more restriction and punishment?

Here’s the reality … there will be thousands of people just like you who try to rip the band-aid off.

They woke up today and had a thought, followed by an emotion.

“Holy fuck, it’s June. I need to get this fat off ASAP because I feel terrible.”

They’ll find the nearest diet that promises quick results and land squarely in the same cycle that they’ve been in for the last 10+ years.

A little weight will come off. A lot will come back.

Their summer will be filled with insecurities and disordered thoughts around food.

They’ll still disapprove of their own bodies and they certainly won’t have the hypothetical beach body.

That doesn’t have to be you.

You are right here, right now.

It’s actually quite simple.

How to get those beach body goals (and any other nutrition or fitness goal)

Step 1 … don’t do what I just outlined above.

Step 2 … understand that it’s totally possible and reasonable to make progress this summer while still enjoying all of the social and familial experiences you’d like.

Step 3 … don’t do it alone. It’s too easy to let yourself off the hook and jump back into the restrict and deprive cycle.

It makes more sense to follow a proven process that has worked consistently for individuals in your exact situation.
