Stop Self Sabotage By Knowing Your Personality

by | Mar 14, 2021

How is this different?

Legit, my favorite question.

I usually get that from individuals who haven’t been following me for very long (and it’s a valid question).

Typically, if you’ve listened to or read any of my content then you quickly realize that what we do is unlike anything else out there.

But, I still love the “how is this different” question.

My first response is typically …

“Well, let me ask you something … have you ever done a program that begins with a personality assessment?”

Them: No.

Me: Do you think it would be helpful to understand what type of plan will lead to the highest level of consistency for you? To play to your strengths and overcome your weaknesses? To have less stress? To feel your best through a plan that accounts for your own brain chemistry?

Them: Well … yeah.

Me: What about understanding your behavioral tendencies?

Them: Yes, definitely. I always self sabotage.

Me: Interesting. And your last program didn’t account for that?

Them: Not at all.

Me: What did they do?

Them: They gave me a set of macros to hit.

Me: And what happened when you didn’t hit them?

Them: They told me to be more consistent.

Me: And what happened if you weren’t more consistent?

Them: They changed my macros.

Me: Did that work?

Them: No.

Me: So, now do you think that maybe knowing your personality makes a huge difference in your plan? How to structure it, certain food choices, macro ratios, and meal composition?

Them: 100%

Me: Did I answer the question about how is this different?

Them: How do I get started?

This was ALMOST word for word a DM conversation from yesterday.

I left out the part where she mentioned that she felt stupid for joining programs that didn’t utilize a personality-based approach and she never connected the dots that anything mattered outside of calories and macros.

It’s way too common. Which is why the message of “just eat in a calorie deficit” is not actually helping anyone and it could be doing more harm than good.

Your personality impacts the type of plan that will be the easiest to adhere to.

It also impacts the food choices that will make you feel your best.

It also impacts the macro ratios that will most effectively improve your body composition.

It also gives us insight into your stress tolerance, behavioral tendencies, strengths and weaknesses.

Do you think it’s a coincidence that the coaches who understand this create the highest level of success for their clients?

It’s not. We’re able to do that because we don’t have to guess.

We know exactly what will work for you.

And then it’s just a game of monitor, make slight adjustments, and fine tune the process until you reach your goals.

It’s way more fun than being told you just need to hit your macros more consistently every week.

Knowing Your personality makes a huge difference

So yeah … there’s a reason why the personality assessment, knowing your personality, and utilizing that information to create the optimal plan for you is a big part of our 1:1 coaching program.

It’s the number 1 reason why our clients feel such a major difference in a short period of time.

Less stress, more energy, better mood, improved sleep, better performance and recovery.

It’s not rocket science. Just science science 😉

If the same old style of coaching programs and diet plans haven’t been effective, then you may want to join our 6 month, 1:1 coaching program.

Using our personality-powered nutrition protocol is just one step in the process but it’s an important one.

Especially if your goals include being able to sustain your results for life, improving your relationship with food, feeling confident in your clothes and in your own skin, and never needing another program again.
