Remember when you were younger and you used to dream about how you’d grow up and take up as little space as possible?
You used to fantasize about how little you’d eat and how small you’d be.
No?
You mean that wasn’t what you envisioned for yourself when you were younger?
Interesting.
Then why are you letting that play out right now?
It’s time for a mindset shift
There’s a simple shift that you can make, which will fundamentally change the way you see yourself and the results you desire.
Take a hot minute …
And stop focusing on being smaller, lighter, less than …
And start focusing on being STRONGER.
Before you write this off and tell me that you already want to be strong …
Please keep in mind that strength cannot be achieved by chronically depriving yourself and consistently under eating.
So when I say focus on being stronger … I mean actually pursue strength as your number 1 goal.
Here’s why wanting to gain strength will change everything for you…
First, in order to gain strength you actually have to train hard, with intent, and be relentless in your pursuit.
You’ll learn to be disciplined but, more importantly, you have to challenge yourself and get uncomfortable.
Second, in order to gain strength you actually have to fuel accordingly.
No one ever got stronger eating 1200 calories per day.
You have to eat enough to support your training AND eat enough to support your recovery.
When you pursue strength and under eat, you’ll feel it in the gym, and in your recovery and energy.
Third, in order to gain strength, you can’t do too much cardio.
You may think that it’s counter to your goals but it’ll actually help you.
Note: I didn’t say you have to completely eliminate cardio.
Fourth, in order to gain strength you have to prioritize rest/recovery days.
You’ll start to understand stress management on a deeper level.
I could keep going but I think you get the point.
What will you get when you gain strength?
A well functioning metabolism.
Someone that will burn more calories at rest.
Someone with more confidence.
Someone that doesn’t obsess over eating less.
Someone that doesn’t stress over the scale every fuckin day.
Someone that will see the body composition changes that they’ve been chasing for years.
All from a simple shift in your pursuit.
Oh, and it just so happens that mental resilience is really freakin important too.
You’ll develop that as well.
Isn’t it interesting that everything you desire …
Being leaner, more fit, more toned, more confident, to look better naked …
Is on the other side of shifting your mindset and the way you approach that pursuit?
You always thought it would happen as a result of calorie restriction and increased cardio.
You always thought it was a lack of willpower as to why you couldn’t get there.
You always thought you were broken.
Nope.
None of the above are true.
You’ve just been taught a flawed method.
Shift your focus.
Commit to getting stronger and watch your world change!
Take the next 3-6 months, which is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, and truly commit to getting stronger.
Watch your world change.
By the way, this is one of the initial mindset shifts we help our clients make when we go through our metabolic priming phase.
The idea of eating more can be scary.
Once we show them how much stronger they are getting, how much better they feel, and how their body is actually responding …
They are all in.
And they never look back.
Of course, it helps that we also set them up with a plan that suits their Neurotype and we integrate everything to cater to their lifestyle, but that’s the advantage of having expert guidance and accountability.
You can make this shift for yourself.
Or, you can let us do it with you and guide you through the process.
If you want to guarantee the outcome you desire, I would suggest the latter.
