What do you choose – comfort or solutions?

by | Feb 29, 2020

You can choose solutions or you can choose comfort.

I chose comfort for years.

I chose comfort in relationships that didn’t serve me.

I chose comfort in jobs that I hated.

I chose comfort in dieting.

I chose comfort in binging.

When I decided to pursue SOLUTIONS, I had to let go of COMFORT.

The logic is simple, but that doesn’t make it easy.

If staying where you are and doing what you have always done was going to get you to where you wanted to go… it would have gotten you there already.

I’ve had that same realization so many times in my life. And still need a reminder from time to time. I guess I’m a slow learner ?‍♂️

The reality is that change is uncomfortable.

With all the fad diets and quick fixes that I tried… at least I knew what I was getting.

Lasting, sustainable results required the active pursuit of discomfort.

Being patient was uncomfortable.

Delaying gratification was uncomfortable.

Not getting enticed by what other people were doing was uncomfortable.

Focusing on mindset and internal work was uncomfortable.

Creating more self-awareness, getting vulnerable, failing, getting back up… all uncomfortable.

If you were anything like me, you may currently be in a situation that isn’t serving you.

And you’re hoping things will change.

I know, because I used to do that too. I used to envision waking up and things would just magically be different.

It never happened. Until I made it happen.

You have to make it happen. You have to choose solutions over comfort.

The current situation won’t change unless you actually change it.

If you need help, you know where to find me.

Much love,
MM
