Your Personality: Super Power or Your Greatest Weakness?

by | Oct 27, 2021

Your super power can also be your greatest weakness.

Before I explain, let’s take about a trend I’ve noticed over the past several years.

There’s a gaping hole in the way most fitness and nutrition programs operate.

And, it’s pretty straightforward.

The problem with most nutrition and fitness programs

Here’s a typical conversation …

Them: I’ve literally tried everything under the sun and I’m still not where I want to be.

Me: What have you tried?

Them: Literally everything. You name it, I’ve tried it. Keto, Whole30, intermittent fasting, Weight Watchers, Optavia … probably others that I’m forgetting, too.

Me: Got it. And you couldn’t sustain your results with any of them or stay consistent long term?

Them: Nope. Maybe there’s something wrong with me.

Me: Well let me ask you this … did any of them take into consideration your personality? Or even anything personal about you at all? Ya know, like your diet history, metabolic state, personal preferences, behavioral tendencies?

Them: No.

Me: Do you think there’s something wrong with you or is it possible that everything you’ve tried is just a different version of the same shit that isn’t remotely personalized enough to be considered more than a band-aid solution?

Them: Well … yeah. I guess I just figured I’d lose the weight with those programs and then adjust back to normal and be able to sustain it.

Me: And how has that worked so far?

Them: It hasn’t.

Me: So do you think we should take the time to create something that’s specific and tailored to your individual needs?

Them: Yes please.

Now, here’s the part where it gets really interesting.

In our program, we start with a personality assessment and a metabolic assessment.

We need to know our starting point so we can effectively plan our route to the destination.

We also need to know the path that will be the most enjoyable for YOU.

That’s where your personality type comes into play.

When you work with your nature, you’re able to stay more naturally consistent, enjoy the process, feel less stressed, and make more sustainable progress.

So, your personality truly becomes your super power.

But, it can also be your greatest weakness.

You see, when we understand your personality, it creates a massive amount of awareness and clarity.

I’m a type 2A and we get bored very easily.

We like to bounce around from program to program.

Before I understood my personality, I thought I was broken.

Like, I lacked the part of my brain that could actually follow through on anything for a certain length of time.

Once I became aware, and had a way of training and eating that fit my nature …

The results took off.

However, my super power was also my greatest weakness.

Type 2A’s are also people pleasers.

And, people pleasing is a form of self sabotage.

Ignoring your own needs and doing what you think everyone else needs is helping no one.

But, it’s our natural inclination, as 2A’s.

I had to actively change that behavioral pattern that was keeping me stuck.

Without being aware of those patterns, I never would have changed them.

You don’t know what you don’t know.

Which is why the single greatest investment that I’ve made in my life is hiring a quality coach.

Because I likely would’ve continued down my path of progress, followed by self sabotage, and I never would’ve understood why.

I would have questioned myself constantly.

I would have continued to believe that I was fundamentally flawed.

Until someone showed me how to make my personality my super power and overcome the weaknesses of my behavioral tendencies …

I likely would’ve been stuck forever.

Are you ready to make your personality your super power?

So yeah … there’s a reason we start with Neurotyping when working with our 1:1 clients.

It sets the entire frame of success.

We do the metabolic assessment because we want to know exactly what the metabolic priming phase will look like for that individual.

Once we know the path we’re taking and we’ve got the body primed to respond …

The results are inevitable.

It’s simply a matter of time.

The third component of our process is the lifestyle integration phase.

This is to ensure the results last forever.

We do that by integrating everything into your lifestyle so it becomes second nature.

So you know exactly what works best for you, what makes you feel your best, and how to maintain your results for life.

Typically this whole process takes about 6 months (or longer in some cases).

If you’re interested in seeing if this is the right fit for you, the next step is simple …

Just  shoot me a private message on FB.

We’ll schedule a quick chat to make sure it’s a good fit on both sides.

If we decide that it is, we can get started right away.
