How to Lose Weight During Menopause

by | Sep 23, 2021

You are really special … but you’re not that special.

One of the things that seemingly resonates with my message is that I constantly talk about individual variance.

There is no one-size fits all approach to fitness and nutrition.

Ya know, the whole groundbreaking idea that there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to achieving your fitness and nutrition goals.

In an industry full of diet ideology … I guess it comes across as revolutionary.

The idea that your body, mind, metabolism, lifestyle, personal life, personality, and everything about you is unique to … you … is innovative stuff.

I’m a sarcastic person, just in case you couldn’t already tell.

But, the fact remains that for most of your life you’ve been placed in a diet box and told exactly what rules to follow.

So, I guess it really does come across as counter to what you normally hear.

Which is a good thing.

The sooner you realize that your success cannot be found in another cookie cutter program, the sooner you’ll reach your goals.

To clarify, cookie cutter is any program that follows the same exact formula for every single human (I’m looking at you, Optavia).

Oh, you’re a 150 lb. female with a high stress job and 10 years of dieting? Cool … eat 1,000 calories per day of our bars and shakes.

What’s that? You’re a 190 lb. female who doesn’t train much and hasn’t ever dieted before?
Cool … eat 1,000 calories per day of our bars and shakes.

And, don’t you dare lift a weight or eat anything that’s not on our approved foods list!

That would be absurd.

Avoiding an eating disorder is certainly not part of the program.

Ok, ok, you get the point.

Are you ready to achieve your weight loss goals AND have dietary freedom?

Anyway, there comes a time in your life when you decide that you don’t want your food choices to be limited to powders and celery.

That you actually want to be able to eat whatever the fuck you want and still achieve your goals.

It seems like a pipe dream …

Until you stumble upon the results that we create for our clients and you realize that not only is it possible … but it’s something we do every single day for a lot of people.

Then the A-HA moments start to kick in …

Oooooh, you mean my personality is important in actually understanding the plan that will best suit my needs.

Oh, wait a minute … my metabolism is kind of a big deal in creating sustainable fat loss.

Oooooh, I should probably learn how to sustain my results for life and stop playing the all or nothing game.

That’s when you’re like … ok … there’s something to this …

Maybe I should inquire.

But wait … I’m REALLY special.

Like a total unicorn.

Is it possible to lose weight during menopause (and any other time as well?)

I have a crazy work schedule … will this work for me?

I have 2 kids and 3 dogs and 4 cats and 2 husbands … will this work for me?

I have PCOS and I’m 61 years old and I don’t eat chicken … will this work for me?

I have a long dieting history and I’m going through menopause … will this work for me?

Short answer: YES.

In fact, I just released a podcast episode about how to lose weight during menopause …

You can listen to it here or search Mind Over Macros on any podcast platform.

Long answer: Yes it will work for you if you do the work.

The process is effective because there is zero guessing game.

We assess your personality.

We assess your metabolic health.

We assess your lifestyle.

Then, we build the plan that’s specific to you and listen to your body to know exactly what’s working and what needs to be adjusted.

It’s actually that simple.

No diet box.

No foods are off limits.

Nothing complicated.

Just simple and effective.

Sure, you have to be willing to think differently and play the long game but let’s be honest …

The shortcuts have been setting you back so maybe you don’t really have a choice.

Or, I should say, you don’t have a choice if you know you want to reach your goals.

Option A: Keep doing what you’ve been doing and don’t reach your goals.

Option B: Make the change, commit, and reach your goals.

Our process works and it doesn’t take very long to realize it.

Like our client, McKensie, who is down 20 lbs. and said “all of this has permeated into my family as well which is super important to me. It hasn’t been overwhelming like other things I tried and I have proven to myself that I can do this and I am doing this!”

Simple. Effective.

It’s what we do in our 6-month, 1:1 coaching program that creates sustainable results for our clients to the tune of 20-30 lbs. down and the freedom of knowing how to maintain those results for life.

If you’re interested,  shoot me a private message on FB.

We’ll have a quick chat to see if it’s a good fit.
