Keep the Process Simple and Results Will Follow

by | Aug 28, 2020

Avril Lavigne said it best … “Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated?”

Yes, I just hit you with an Avril Lavigne line to start my blog … talk about losing readers before we even get to the good stuff 🤣

But honestly, it’s a damn profound statement when it comes to your fitness goals (and pretty much life in general).

Here’s why … simplicity wins

One of the biggest road blocks I’ve witnessed over the last decade in the industry and working with thousands of people …

Is majoring in the minors.

This is not your fault. It’s part of the brilliant marketing of the diet industry.

They know how to sell. And, they know how to make you think you’re doing something wrong so you buy their solution.

They’ll convince you that fasting is the key to the success that you’ve been missing.

Result: you buy an e-book that tells you to skip breakfast.

They’ll convince you that the post workout window of opportunity is the key to all gainz, bro.

Result: you buy an e-book that tells you to drink a protein shake with carbs after you train (and, of course, the protein powder is also sold by them.)

They’ll convince you that meal timing is massively important to support your hormones (Actually, it’ll be more like “Hey you! Your hormones suck! You need to fix them!).

Result: you’ll buy a program that tells you to stop eating at 6 pm.

I could go on.

The human brain wants to make things more complicated than they need to be.

Because it helps us explain why we haven’t been successful yet.

If I believe that I need to find the perfect way to eat, the perfect way to train, the perfect meal timing, the perfect meal frequency, the perfect post workout meal, the perfect supplement protocol etc, etc …

Then, it makes sense why I haven’t been able to create the results I want! That shit is complicated and difficult. Damn near impossible!

It gives me an out. It gives me an excuse.

Reality is a much tougher pill to swallow.

Here’s the simple truth

It’s actually super simple. It just takes a long fuckin time and relentless consistency with the basics that actually work.

None of that other shit matters.

The only thing that matters is finding the way to eat that works for you.

That allows for consistency over a really long period of time.

You’d be amazed at how many transformations we’ve created by simplifying the process.

By drowning out the noise.

By literally taking one step at a time with the basics and principles that work well for that individual.

Honestly, the biggest struggle is that your brain will tell you “it can’t be this simple” and yet it will be.

And, the results will speak for themselves.

So many other programs love to make things more difficult than they need to be because it’s easier to sell you.

There’s even a program out there that believes every single person needs 4 different sets of macros. 🤦‍♂️

I mean seriously … take a step back and think about that logically … does it make sense that every single human needs 4 different sets of numbers to be successful?

Obviously not. I’d argue that 0.1% actually do well that way and that’s a generous guess. 🤷‍♂️

We take people and simplify that process and suddenly they start making progress faster and feel like it’s too good to be true.

Want to see what I’m talking about in real time?

Watch our free training from last night!

This will show you exactly how we simplify the process based on individual needs.

We assess the low hanging fruit. The one thing that will produce the biggest bang for our buck.

You won’t believe how easy it is and yet … it works. Every. damn. time.
